I've been wanting to make this ever since
Nigella's recipe appeared in The Mail a few weeks ago.
It was very easy and not as fiddly as I'd imagined it might be. It turned out well and would be an excellent cheesecake for a party. The trouble is that 3 of my guests decided to give Sunday lunch a miss. Of the remainder 2 didn't like peanuts . . . . .
It's a good job that the Bramley tree in the garden is still bearing fruit. I made an emergency apple crumble.
We shall be mainly eating cheesecake this week.
It looks magnificent, Jude. It will have to wait for a party here, as it's far too large for three of us to eat - particularly as two of us are watching our waistlines (watching them expand, mostly)!
ReplyDeleteIt tastes exactly as I thought it would Sue, but yes, it's enormous.
ReplyDeleteI can think of worse ways to spend a week! Yum!
ReplyDeleteIt does look extremely impressive! And lovely and glossy and shiny - I'm always intimidated by cheesecake recipes. I wonder if it would scale down? It's a shame your intended recipients didn't show, they've missed out there!
